Richard A Brown, M.D.

Dr. Brown, or Richard as he prefers, joined Torrey Pines Orthopaedic Medical Group in 1991. Dr. Brown specializes in reconstructive, trauma and microsurgery of the hand. He was one of the first physicians to use Xiaflex as a non-surgical option for patients with Dupytren’s Disease and presented his findings at the American Academy of Hand Surgeons in the fall of 2010. Dr. Brown is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Orthopaedic Association as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Committee on Professionalism. He is a Qualified Medical Examiner and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Committee on Ethics.
